Event Security - If you are looking for a really cool part-time job that brings you face-to-face with some of the biggest and best events in the Northeast, then GMCS wants you to be a part of it's team. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED. Applicants will be expected to complete the 40 hour, State of Vermont, security guard training. Applicants will be eligible to work once they complete the first 8 hour session and are accepted by the state of Vermont "Office of Professional Regulation". Applicants will also have access to other state's licenses as there will be some traveling to events at "Saratoga Performing Arts Center" and events in New York City as well as events in New Hampshire and Massachussetts. Applicants will need to pay for their initial state licenses. Vermont - $50.00, New York - $140.00, New Hampshire - $20.00. Once you have worked more than 250 hours in your first year, you will be re-funded your Vermont license fee. Once you have worked more than 500 hours in a 2 year span, you will be re-funded any other state license fees. Come join our team and tell your friends on Monday morning what YOU did this weekend. Security - GMCS is currently hiring for security guards for our “Security” division. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED. All applicants applying for the “Security” position must also complete the State of Vermont 40 hour security course and must be registered with the Vt. Secretary of States “Office of Professional Regulation”. GMCS will pay for this training and registration as long as the applicant has completed the 40 hour training. Applicants will need to pay for their initial state licenses. Vermont - $50.00, New York, $140.00, New ampshire - $20.00. If you have already completed the 40 hours through another company, GMCS requires that you only go through the GMCS 8 hour “Crowd Management” course Traffic Control - GMCS is currently hiring for “Flaggers” and “Traffic Control Technicians” for our “Traffic Control” division. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED. Transportation to jobsite is required. All applicants applying for the “Traffic Control” position must complete a 4 hour traffic control course to be certified by the ATSSA and to be a Vermont Work zone registered flagger. GMCS pays for this training as long as the applicant works for GMCS. Because you will be required to stand for long periods of time and move around heavy traffic control devices, all applicants must be in good physical shape. |
